Daniel Neihoff

It's no surprise that songwriters emerge from the Neihoff clan of western Kentucky, a family deeply rooted in a land rich with stories. But few possess the natural storytelling and melodic gifts as thoroughly as Daniel Neihoff. Born in Texas and raised in Kentucky, Daniel penned his first song at just 8 years old, inspired by a family fit for country songs. Now based in Paducah, KY, he refined his craft by playing in church and learning from masterful guitar player Cheryl Yates. At 20, Daniel's smooth and soulful sound earned him a spot at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe. His debut album reached number 32 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Among his many accolades, Daniel won the Kerrville New Folk Competition in 2019, became a three-time finalist of Songwriter Serenade, placed third in the Woody Guthrie Songwriter Contest, and won the Rocky Mountain Songwriters Contest in 2023. His talent has also been showcased on PBS, where Lori Walsh of SDPB remarked, “Daniel Neihoff, you are just what we need.” With his range of storytelling and compelling melodies, all with a soulful touch, Daniel Neihoff is quickly establishing himself as a voice both familiar and unique on the music scene.
