Clare Cunningham
Irish-born singer-songwriter Clare Cunningham is an independent, award-winning recording and touring artist whose music spans across a multitude of genres. Her songs often explore themes of mental health awareness, faith, and her rich cultural heritage.
Clare made her Grand Ole Opry debut in March 2023, sharing the bill with her childhood hero, Garth Brooks, and was personally invited by Steve Earle to duet his hit ‘Galway Girl’ on the same night. Her talent has been widely recognized, with The World Entertainment Awards naming her ‘Best New Artist’ and awarding her for the best Christian song in 2023. She was also nominated as ‘New Artist of the Year’ at this year's Inspirational Country Music Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry, where she performed in the circle for a second time.
Clare’s accolades are numerous. She was crowned 'Artist of the Year' at The Josie Music Awards in 2022, ‘Vocalist of the Year’ in 2021, and ‘Folk/Americana Artist of the Year' in 2020. Her worship/inspirational album Helping Hand has received significant recognition, with songs winning and being nominated for many major awards, including international film festivals.
Before moving to the US in 2018, Clare gained notable success as the lead singer of the all-female Swedish quintet Thundermother, signed to Warner Music Sweden. The band charted in Europe and received support from legendary acts like Motörhead, Zakk Wylde (BLS), Halestorm, In Flames, and more.
A devoted follower of her Savior Yahauh, Clare’s music is a reflection of her faith and her deep commitment to mental and brain health awareness.
