Meet Chaislyn King, a talented 19-year-old singer/songwriter hailing from Baton Rouge. Chaislyn's musical journey began early when, at the age of 16, she appeared on ABC's American Idol (Season 1). Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie were so impressed with her talent that they awarded her the golden ticket. Since then, she has continued to nurture her passion for music, transitioning into writing her own songs, with over 40 original compositions to her credit. Her single, "Dreams I Forgot About," released in April 2020, has resonated with listeners, garnering over fourteen thousand streams on Spotify. Her debut EP was released in December 2018, showcasing her artistry and establishing her presence in the music scene. Chaislyn's talents extend beyond music-making, as her music video for "Carole" was recognized with the Best Video award at the Calcasieu Parish Film Festival in 2018, highlighting her artistic versatility. Currently, Chaislyn King shares her musical journey with fans on Twitch (twitch.tv/chaislyn), streaming four days a week while also pursuing a BA in music at The University of Southern Mississippi. She diligently hones her craft under the guidance of esteemed vocal coach Dr. Ann McPhail, having previously studied with Ninfa Caruso for ten years and Leslie Castay for two years.
